94 flatbed 2.4l with dually setup question

    That looks very much like an adapter setup on a stock 1/2 ton axle. If it were a full floating (true 1-ton) it would have the hubs protruding into the center of the outer wheel (like a 4wd front hubs). This was a common thing on the motor homes that used the toyota chassis before 1987 and resulted in enough failed outer axle bearings to spark a recall.

    I would be very suspicious of using that with a heavy load. Remove the wheels and check to see if there is an adapter in there, bolted to a standard 5-lug axle. Not to rain on your parade, but that may be one of the worst things that could be done to a Toy truck.
