    Hello all,

Looking for some advice on remounting my stock carb to my 20r engine.

Should I sand the plates between the carb and intake? My plates have some gunk that does not want to come off with paint thinner.

I have new seals for them and want to get it right the first time without damaging the new seals and having a leak.

Thanks for any tips or ideas about remounting a carb.

If you chose to sand them, make sure to use a flat sanding board.

So I got the carb plate and hit it with a scotch brite pad and then a razor blade.

Worked well so now I am off to compare my old and new carb to make sure its good.

1st time playing with a carb so any help much appreciated, thanks!!
