    Hello all,

I have a November 1975 Toyota pickup so DMV considers it a 1976, must keep all smog stuff I guess.
The truck is under construction getting body work and paint and any thing else I can think of.
Trying for a mild resto mod stock wheels and a new color paint. Will upgrade the motor as it is required.
Right now I just finished painting the front bumper area and have the body mostly in primer. Fill primed and guide coated already but wound up having to get some used fenders. Have 2 stuck broke bolts for the bottom fender spots on passenger side. So I will have to work that out :brickknock:
Take a look let me know what ya think and any ideas or good places to get parts.
    Thanks :headbang:

I have a few more recent photos to share.
Put some dodge neon 03 seats in the truck for added comfort.
Welded to the orig slides, they work well.
Been really stalled out for a few years on the project. Had a compressor motor burn out on my 220v 60gal unit. Looking for a shop to rebuild the compressor motor in the Sacramento area, or a new unit. Any advice on good compressor motors?

    Replies, ideas, anyone?

Am I doing something wrong by posting my project here?

Do you consider this a 75 and I need to move project to a different spot?

Was looking for any tips or tricks or comment, motivational advice, something, anything to do with my project.

It is hard to stay motivated and find info so I thought I would post on here. Its my 1st project vehicle.

looks like a pretty good start, being from California it must be nice to have a clean frame and no welded in floorboards lol

    Hello night amuse,

I am a bit surprised by how little rust the truck has in the floors.

It had front fenders that were shot through with rust and the are under the fenders by the master brake cylinder has rust.

Any fixes for the rust areas that don"t require welding?

Looking to get this project painted soon, soo much work to do for paint.

Also thinking of removing the bed with an engine lift, anybody do this before? Any tips on bed removal?

havent removed the bed on one of these myself but i believe its just a few bolts holding it. dont think its anything that a couple people cant lift, dont imagine a engine crane is necessary

any rust repair ive just sanded off the rust, Bondo, sand, filler, sand, prime, paint, clearcoat, done. problem areas with pretty much all Toyota pickups are the box and floorboards, my 81 hasnt had a box in years and looks like its had a couple floorboards welded in during its lifetime

Started sanding more, going after the door jams and the interior floor.

Going slow doing it by hand with a foam block.

Still waiting on my new compressor and carburetor.

Appreciate the tips on the rust repair!!

    Lil up date,
got carb mounted and all the bolts out to remove bed.
Will be painting so this should help with getting all the cab and bed painted.
Also draining some 6yr old gas before trying out new carb.
Continuing to long board sand along the way and fix little body imperfections.
Gotta get this rig back on the road and back on the quest for El Dorado!!

    Yeah, seems dead in here.

How far back do you want to go? More lean or more leg room?

Its a small pickup and I am tall as well.
I have the seats maxed out and wish I had a bit more room, but it works.
