You mean it failed? It shouldn't fail from an empty tank. What brand pump did you put in it?

Sorry to hear that happened to you. What did you find out about this issue? I'm still awaiting payment for the other parts you purchased

like should the pump have died like that? usually it takes a few repeated times of running low or empty on gas but it can happen. the fuel is what cools the pump itself, run low on gas and the pump gets warmer and the crud from the bottom of your gas tank gets forced in the system. thats why you should never drive on lower than a quarter tank

Yes ive checked.I have also changed every vacuum line on it.I can figure out whats wrong with it.unless its a head gasket down. The carb was rebuilt by a person who knows there doing and has a good reputation for rebuilding carbs. But could I still have carb problems?

    Yes.

Have you tried spritzing some carb cleaner over the top of you carb yet?

To see if its running too rich or lean...

    Give it a spray...

    Rpm comes up- lean
    Rpm goes down-rich
Rpm doesn't really change much- good

That's a rough way to tell, lol, but it helps.
