    Hello all.
I've been doing a lot of research into a 4 link rest setup for my '78 (Gertrude).

Planning on having it my daily driver / weekend drag truck.

I was wondering if anybody had done a 4 link setup, or could recommend one that is not gonna kill my bank account.

At the moment the rear end sits almost 3" lower, I swapped the thicker bottom leaf up to the top and compressed it.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd like to keep it on springs. Bags are a lot of work, and more that can go wrong.

Once we get the 7mge-t in it and running, it's going to be my daily but see the track on the weekends .

I'm trying to come up with a way to help prevent excessive wheel spin.

i normally build all my 4 links to fit the specific truck, but it usually costs a little more then that kit listed above.

however by building it for your truck you could make sure to get 100% anti squat which would help launch the truck the best. if you post a good side shot of your hilux on the az hilux fb page i can draw out the lines that would give you 100% anti squat (or at least really close). i found a pic but it was before the rear was lower.

do you plan to go with coil overs? that would also make it handle the best, just sucks how much they cost.

Just a question, maybe I'll learn something new. Why 4 link a truck on leaf springs? I've always seen it done to run springs or coil overs on a track car. Would it only keep the rear end roll to a minimum? Then why not a 2 link? The leaf spring mounts are already doing most of the work keeping the axel inline and tracking strait. Maybe a traction bar or some 90/10 shocks would help the wheel spin. But either way I'd love to learn this method to the madness. :waytogo: just cause I haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. :D

Burnz the az hilux page is the one I started. Lol.

1lowsr5, the reasoning I looking into 4 link is to help gain traction and also to prevent wheel hop.

I'm shooting for high 11's - low 12's, so I'm gonna need every bit of help I can get.

I was thinking about going with coilovers. Not too fond of bags.
