i see u guys that did this mod live in cali, does this mod still pass smog? id assume it would but its worth asking anyways

 

With a stock intake tube and airbox that fit the 82 AFM it will pass. However my set up did not have carb number and i would have to revert back to stock to pass.

 

And that intake is a HotShot intake. 3" mandrel bent with a TRD sticker.

 

just did this on my v6 truck. very nice improvement! feels sharper on acceleration. ill have to post up pictures soon.

for those who wonder, i used the AFM out of a mid to late 90's camry with the 3vz-fe. its also available on some model lexus es300.

 

Im really interested in doing this mod on my 3vze. Gonna start looking around to see if I can find one for a good price. Did you snag yours out of a junkyard SD. Cant wait to see the pics when you get a chance to post.

 

i found one at the yard... you can find them remanf'd online for a couple hundred bucks but yards will be cheaper. this is my redesigned intake after i installed my camry afm.

 

move it closer to the throttle body and you will get even better results
