The notches got cut down ALOT just built em with a lot of extra for error room. :p

Got it welded up today and frame sections cut, ran into a snag with not knowing what to do to leave the gas tank in place... Looked up Litneons build thread and seen kinda how his was before bags and built my own HUGE gusset and got it to work. All I have left to finish is the frame caps and the notches will be all the way done. I didn't take any pics today so I'll grab some tomorrow if I have some time. Maybe I'll go out in a few min and try to take some pics in the dark just to have em. Painted the welds to keep em from the elements, it seems the weather man never knows what's going on, just being safe... Any one got extra bag parts for cheap??:D next is to do some measuring to move the gas tank to the rear and then get it 4 linked... She's a slow build but she is getting built :waytogo:

Then the crappy ones I just took tonight I'll get some better ones during the day. Mind you nothing's been cleaned up just painted over to keep moisture off.

I need to get with you on what you did to eliminate the evap system. I deleted my EGR/Pair but never thought about the evap until I saw your pic.

A lot of progress man just haven't had time to post pics to photo bucket. I've got alittle down time till the rest of my parts come in so I'll try to get em posted.

As for the evap I'll see what photos I have. Pretty simple removal. Truck runs better with out all of that smog junk on it.

Yeah mine definitely seems to run better without all that crap. Looking forward to the photo updates!

Haven't had a chance to look for pics but this link will show you what the evap system is comprised of. Everything in the pic, take it out... I have now moved my tank so I was able to take all the lines from the engine bay out. I just put a hose on the tank and hung it down and it now is open to the world. Did this to make sure I don't get water in the tank...

I use that site for a lot of references, great site to bookmark. I'll still look and see if I took pictures.

Just going to post pics, it's late and I'm tired...

This came In about a week ago. :)

Start cutting up all the brackets it came with and make em my own. :))

Did some quick math and figured this is where they uppers needed to be...

Decided against my best judgement to put them here instead...

Just after this picture the upper bars where so bound up that the tack welds broke!!! Sounded like a shot gun went off!!!

Realized that my first measurements were correct and I was now going to have to recut and refab my brackets to work in a better position, did a bunch of research that night and found some really good resources which I'll post up in the how to section later...

    Back to my original concept...

These came in today!!!! More parts should be in the rest of the week!!!

And yes those are manual valves... Got some plans for those bad boys down the line. For now they will work as they are.

Had to rush to get it driving so haven't had time to take pics, new GM at work said we can't take company vehicles home anymore so I'm having to drive the truck back and forth for now. Told my boss I was going to drive it so he decides to bring his. Snapped this photo...

This is my progress photo spot, I have photos in the same spot every time I do something new.

Haven't posted progress progress pics in a min. Tomorrow I will try to get all my pics posted up. Today for some reason I think my compressor wiring had failed. Compressor didn't turn on when I left my buddies and barely aired me to the 50psi I need. Will be looking into this tomorrow as I daily drive my baby.
Took her to her first meet tonight, a lot of guys I had met previously in the scene wanted nothing to do with me as my aspersions seemed far fetched to them. As I rolled in to the meet tonight mouths dropped. Questions were asked "who built it" "how much"... When I told them I did all the work and bought nothing but the 4 link they were in awe. Seems no one out here builds their trucks, one guy said its a dying (sp) art??? Got a few enquiries about doing other trucks. I am by no means a professional fabricator, but one day I hope to be semi pro. :p lots of compliments and questions tonight. Made all the hours so far worth it. :waytogo: anyways had some beers tonight if you couldn't tell I'll get pics uploaded snapped uploaded some more and posted tomorrow.

After first building my bridge and mounts I didn't lay out where I wanted to so I had to cut off and flip the bridge over.

Mounted my 5 gallon tank in the back for now, notice the 4 black bolts where the cubby hole is? Compressor is mounted inside the cubby. Should be ok for now, but I am a bit worried about it over heating. Might put a small computer fan in to help meet it cool while it runs.

MAsked the bumper to paint the valance, used to be the original grey the truck was but was never painted black to match the truck, not that that really matters now she will be put in primer soon enough.

Rear all painted up and heading to her first meet.

Although I would do something about the zip ties... :D

The taillights actually look pretty good laying down instead of being vertical. Reminds me of the Datsun Lil-Hustler (620s) with their taillights integrated in the rear bumpers.

I am driving it this way daily to and from work :D

The zip ties are temporary until I get hard lines for the fuel. But hey they work for now  and I thought about doing a Cali combo with the tail lights in the roll pan but we will see. No plans for her are ever permanent

Little update on things as I'm getting ready to take her to Lay'd out 2014.

Got exhaust run, did 2" to where the cat used to e and put a 2" to 2" cherry bomb turbo muffler. Tucked it all up above the frame so it can't be seen or drag on the ground.

One last adjustment on the drive line, had some vibrations still but she's smooth as a babies but now.

Also decided to add some 6x9s I decided to put into the cubby holes the extra cabs have. Nice fit and will work for now until I decide what I'm going to do with the stereo system.

6X9s look great in the cubby holes...how did you attach to the truck? or did the speaker screws bite in to hold there?

Got lucky and all 4 screws for the 6x9s screwed right into the plastic so it doesn't have any more holes than needed. They sound pretty decent in those cubbies. Better than the box they were in. (Came with the truck)
