code 14 (check engine )

    Ineed your guys help with this don't know what to do my truck has been having problems in the morning it will always shut down when it's cold. The engine light came on nd showed Code 14. Says to check the coil on the driver side fender wall but from there idont what to do ????? :mad:

    make sure it's bolted down and secure.
    i believe it grounds to the body.

    What you are getting is no signal to the ecu so it can fire the coil main issue with this most of the time since checkings a coil is rather easy is it, s the ignitor or harness issue sadly the ignitors can not be tested on our trucks

    Yah I replaced the coil and igniter it worked didn't have a problem till the following week but it s not as bad as it was before

    check the little sensor grounded there... the bolt may be loose and that will be enough to trip it.

    im still confused with it the bolts are bolted good no loose sensors ichanged the sparkplug and wires but still happenes
