I didnt realize there was a forum for this great truck ive had for a while now. Ive been in the planning stages of refurbishing my old truck into a better version of what it is now (pics of it below) Ive got about 12 years ex. in performance, restoration and customization of autos of all makes with a specialty in mazda rotary, and 12v design and customization/fabrication. Ive worked on the big brother landcruisers and I have to say I enjoy the brand and especially my little murder truck as the neighbor kids call it. I hope I can contribute. it looks like an already good resource for the big plans I have. -Joe https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/t1/297207_416637855076075_289669879_n.jpg[img] [img]https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/533486_412309158842278_1509202191_n.jpg 78 long bed 22r 5spd tercel sunroof custom powder green trim and other parts by smoking gun powder coat ATL custom brass knuckle shape ebrake 67 fj40 front seats mighty max drop front w/ blocks in rear custom window vents gm ignition conversion custom tire rack harley pipe exhaust WANTED needs a new driver door as of late,a windshield and a new tailgate too!
Welcome Joe! You are the 3rd person that own a '78 Toyota that have introduced themselves in recent weeks. It's nice to see some efforts going into restoring and enjoying the RN20 series. I'm the original owner of my truck and it is still a fun truck to drive to this day. I enjoy the occasional glances I get when driving it. Enjoy hanging out with us! Rick
That's a rad take on a hilux. I like it. Tail pipes are wild, how's it sound? I like the brass knuckle e brake. I cut the rubber off mine to use the steel. Didn't think of that tho.
thanks. it sounds pretty quiet actually as i have dynomax muffler in the middle. does get raspy towards the top end though. the handle was just some fun with powdercoat and plasma cutters
Welcome! B) like the style, there's a few other guys ne'er the atl area on here as we'll. almost enough to have an ATL toyotamini meet.
