Hello everyone. Thought I would finally say something. I was referred by Ryan "Shonuff". I've been lurking for a while, and finally got my hands on a set of trucks. They are both '75 Hilux. The "Redish" one is a 5 speed with rust everywhere. Rear window missing, interior full of water. The floor pan against the back of the cab is literally gone where water has been running in. It has a sunroof too. I got it for the 5 speed pedal assembly, etc. The yellow one is a auto, with a decent body. Missing the drivers fender, grill, and a few other things. Not too worried about it, I'll get what I need from the 5 speed and salvage the rest. The bed is removed from the yellow truck in the pics, but the yard I got the trucks from removed it to sell, buyer never came and got it. Woo!

These are pics from the yard, I don't have any recent ones. Plan: Pull 5 speed body, etc from its frame. Sandblast, powdercoat, and paint everything. I plan a 3''-4'' drop, just got to see how heavy this is on the front..

'90 7mge (With gte front timing cover..) daily drove it until 2 weeks ago. Oil pressure dropped, and the rods started to sing. Luckily I have a 7mgte here with a cracked head and all electronics, so I plan to use the head, etc from this to build and swap in a 7mgte. I got both trucks for $800.00 with no engines/trans. Not worried at all about wiring, I've done this sort of thing before. I put a 7mgte in a '79 celica too haha.

Anyway, thanks for having me. Build thread to start within the week.

Sounds like a fun project. I have lots of little dash switches and small parts. Got plenty of stuff. I want one of those vintage license plates for the front of mine. They're legit.

Getting the truck low shouldn't be a problem. They take it well. And if ya get tired of that plate you know who wants it :D it would replace my '63 WA truck plate nicely on my 78. Feel free to pick my brain on these trucks. I've been doing mine for almost 6 years.

I meant to ask, is a sunroof a common thing in these trucks? Just curious. I don't prefer it since it's just one more thing to leak from, just wanted to know if I should hold onto this cab or atleast the roof since it does have it.
