I'm Matt, and this is my daily driver/parts runner 1986 long bed X-Tra cab. Don't mind the brake fluid on the floor mat, the clutch master decided to leak on the floor. It's on Tokico blue shocks and has some aftermarket blue anti sway bars. The Momo steering wheel is from a Chrysler/Maserati TC and the shift knob is also Momo, a junk yard find. The wheels are 16X7 Ronal T3's with BF Goodrich high performance summer tires. I plan on upgrading the brakes, installing a limited slip differential, and selling the camper shell. It was functional for a time, but the truck was much more fun without it. On the way home from work I occasionally take it through a local twisty canyon road to blow off steam. It doesn't have any power, but I'm used to momentum driving anyway. It's enough to give some frustrated high schoolers in the Civic SI that their parents bought for them a hard time, and that's all that matters. This is the main project track car where most of my money goes to die: Here's a couple of my previous vehicles you may also enjoy. What can I say? I've always had a thing for funky '80's styling: 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Intercooled Homologation car, most all stock: 1985 Volvo 244 Turbo Intercooled, 15G, the fire came out of a straight 3" back to a magnaflow muffler, 14PSI, 4 speed M46 w/push button OD:
Very nice cars. My first car was a 83 242 turbo brick. My brother also had a 74 gumball blue 242 himself. Brings back memories! Oh yeah, welcome!
Thanks kingtaco! It's the strangest thing, but whenever I go to car events or onto forums, I meet other people who used to be or are 'Volvo people'. For some reason, I know lots of the guys who have track Miatas have old turbo bricks or used to. Thanks! I guess some of these parts are starting to get a bit hard to find now. My dash even only has one crack! Unfortunately the old 22R is a tickey old bitch, but I figure I'll blow it up eventually and I'll put in another one, or something else...
