I'm done some research but never got the right answer , so over all i'm looking to convert over my 3vze auto 2wd into an 5-manual. My question is would an w58 (86.5-92) supra non turbo tranny bolt on to the 3vze ? different bellhousing? custom bellhousing ? i do know for an fact the the 2wd r150 well bolt on but its to hard to get hold of one, and the price is just too much. anything would help thanks

 

R's and W's are different bellhousings. It's be easier to mate up an R series transmission.

 

so it well be an whole lot easier with the r series transmission. Meaning i could just get an r bellhousing or transmission from the supra (r154) and bolt onto the 3vze ?

 

If I'm correct, the 3VZ-E V6's came with R series. you already have the bellhousing, so that cuts most of the work.

 

his automatic bellhousing wouldnt work (no entry point for the throw out fork)

find a v6 truck or 4runner with the right trans you want (150 or 151) ou can use the w series trans so long as you have the v6 bellhousing.
