Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. My name is Shawn. I live in Washington state. I just got my first yoyo pick up with the 22re and 5 speed. Looking for some easy and cheap upgrades for the engine.

Welcome Shawn!!! I'm sure you are excited about getting your 1st Toyota. I've had mine SR5 for 32 years and I'll never get rid of it. It's still a fun truck.

Better intake path from the throttle body helps. Some guys switch it to the other side of the engine bay to not cross the radiator. An exhaust header and better system from there back. Better spark plugs, wires, and ignition coil. Lots of choices and lots of levels of performance available. Most stuff just needs a basic socket set to work on these trucks.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I think I am going to enjoy this forum from what I have seen so far on all of the builds here I think I'm going to have fun with my yoyo.
