    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::brickknock: :shrug:

    So I have been building a motor for a couple months for 79frankenyota I finally put the head on and timing stuff, to find out one of the valves is sticking!:brickknock:

    Does anybody have any idea of how I can get it to stop sticking without taking it all apart? I have a feeling in the end im going to have to tear it all back apart down to the valve and lube the f*ckin thing like theres no tomorrow...:(:mad:

    Im open to any and all suggestions! just dont want to pull the valve out..

    If the valve is getting stuck it is probably bent and if it's not it is gunked up with carbon and sh!t and will need to be taken out to be cleaned properly.I say might as well remove the head and replace the valve so you don't have to go thru this again.and while your at it check all the valves with a leak test.

    It was checked by the machine shop and all was good.. I think it just needs to be lubed. Atleast I hope. Im Tearing it apart later:(

    It is a 22r block, bored .040 over. Double row chain came on early years, '81 and early '82, late '82 and after is single row.

    The paint is rustoleum engine enamel "grabber green".. It is quite bright!

    I was gonna say looks like a 22r but didn't want to be wrong(complex lol).So the earlier year with the domed pistons and the taller block height right.I learned that the expensive way when rebuilding one of my early 22r motors.Went to buy a timing cover and chain set then got home to put it on and was like WTF!!No refunds.

    Ya its taller block and domed pistons.. that f*ckin sucks to buy the wrong parts! ive done it a few times, thankfully nothing super expensive.. ive only built 2 motors, one of them being this one, and the other was the same set up with domed pistons and double row and all that good stuff..

    next up will be a 20r as a spare for when mine gives up :D

    He never posted pics of his truck.. But he's 79franken Yota..

    Originally I built a motor for my last truck, the blue '80, but the truck got stolen so I sold the motor.. $1400! Spent it well:D bought my '77.. with This motor I'm making $300 plus he gave me a 20r block(soon to be built:D ) and a 22r block that isn't worth anything other then scrap.. I'd like to make this a career but doubt it, definitely a hobby though!
