I plan on putting a '79 front clip on my '85 what are some of the comments that you people have ? Yes or no let the haters begin that will inspire me to piss you off.

 

If you used the round headlight setup from a 3rd gen it would look cool. I wouldnt bother putting the square light setup on. i say do it, and use a 4wd grille. Would look unique. Most people put 5th gen bumpers and grilles on everything...thats played out.

 

The dual headlights is what I like as well.

The front clip is coming from a 79 Dolphin so mfg. A year later on 78 body and frame probably.

 

Oh sweet. The headlight bucket assembly on a hilux is all held on a flat plate with 4 bolts to the core support. My buddy has those lights on his 81 4wd. He ran the grille too, but its not a perfect fit. He has a beat up woods wheeler, so its cool. If done right, it might all flow well. Keep us posted. I would like to see something like that.
