Is there any way you can get the A/TM code off of the door jamb?

You are going to hate megasquirt. Unless you are a complete genius and can build maps from scratch, or have a really nice friend that has maps to tune off.

Ive run megasquirt on a turbo RE and a Starion. The Starion was more simple because they came turbo from the factory so it was more or less just revising maps amd things. The turbo 22RE took me 6 days to get it to start and idle, and harldy drive.

I then supercharged a 92 on the stock ecu. It didnt work after about 5lbs, and I promised myself I would never go back to megasquirt. The cost of a good standalone setup is about the same price I bought the v8 for.

I am doing a Ford 8.8 swap in the next week but it is on a 92, not the newer model as yours is. I cant offer any other infrmation because I dont know much about the newer trucks.

Did you run Tuner Studio with the ms?
It's stupid simple.. Setup Wizard ftw!

I think I'm going to pul the trigger on that 8"
I'm going to see if 2 bills cash will take it home..

These 8"ers use 30 splines, right?
How many splines are the 7.5's?

Anyone seen any good prices on the 8" detroit truetrac?

The g code has stouter axles than a 8.8.

It's exactly the same size axles as a 12 bolt Chevy.

Now as far as lockers, you do have to know if the truck was a v6 or a 4cyl 2wd.

For some reason the 4 cyl 2wd 8in pumpkins are smaller. Found this out when I tried to put my supra IRS LSD diff in a 4cyl housing. Didn't fit. Somewhere I read you can space them or use a special bearing. I'd like to find that info again.

And I'd like to learn more about MS. I got the hardware and mechanical part down. Just don't know where to start tuning? (Turbo v8 project of mine)

So since I picked up the V6 8" 2wd rear end, I'm wanting to stuff a Detroit Truetrac LSD in it..

Is there a site that any of you know of that shows how to set one of these up step by step?

I'm guessing this is the correct truetrac..

I still need to finish cutting off the other drum brake backing plate because I'm going to use Ford Mustang SVO rear brake rotors and a Tre5 caliper adapter bracket. not sure what I'll use for a caliper, maybe a GM metric series caliper.

    Yea that diff will work.

As for the rear discs I'd look at some from a supra along with it's calipers too. That will give you the right bolt pattern and an e brake. Just need to make the brackets to mount them on the housing.

I'm thinking that the 3.42's are going to make the truck too bogged off the line.

I'd love to find some 3.73's or even 3.58's..

    Anyone have a set used?
