i have a 87 pickup and im looking for a carb that has the air filter side mounted instead of top mounted if anyone can please help me out on some info that would be great
Mr bagged yota I think you are looking for what they call a side draft carburator.It pulls air from the side instead of a down draft carb which pulls air from the top down. Most applications are for a duel side draft set up and most intakes for sidedrafts for our truck are duel but I have seen a single sidedraft set up on a tm members truck here.I believe it was a 20r head and intake though.He goes by the handle B.Y.E. aka back yard engineering.Good luck on finding what you need.Very common out here. I have a duel set up.If you are looking for a pretty major upgrade in performance this is a major step.
