Ok I'm working on my parts list *online* for all of the front end stuff and was wondering is it really worth spending the extra money for Moog parts vs autozone duralast parts??

It is close to a $400-500 spread between the two which is why I ask.
Also does the 2wd have a pitman arm? All I find listed is for the 4wd.

Yes 2wd have pitman arms they are smaller and have a different end than the 4wd so you cant use a 4wd model. Try autopartswharehouse or jcwhitney!! Also YES Moog parts are worth the extra cost of course this is my opinion however Id run Moog over Energy suspension and that over Autozone brand anyday depending on application. I do a lot more aggressive driving and my toy is also bagged so the extra durability of moog is worth it to me not to replace that crap every 30k miles. Of course if you could find a company that made pure delrin bushings for out trucks those would be their weight in gold. If your just running a nice smooth daily then go energy suspension or autozone if you really have to.

I knew moog was good, but wasn't sure if it was an extra 400 good lol.

I drive my truck really hard and would love to start doing autoX stuff when it's done so guess Moog it is...

Next Q: Recommending shocks/struts?? I'm looking at the KYBs from advance auto, but dont see monomax's for the back or should I just go with bilstein's from autozone?

Yes moog best buy . If your doing autox I'd stay away from autozone I wouldn't purchase anything from them that has to do with load carrying or turning parts .oil and filters bout it for me and them

    Blistein makes a great shock

    AutoZ sells bilstein lol...

Um pitman arm: Does moog even make one for the 2wd? All I'm seeing is pitman arms for the 4wd everywhere!

I tried all the places I know and even tried ebay and only coming up with 4wd pitmans.

So here's what I'm going to do: Moog for all the suspension stuff, energy bushings for control arms/struts/sway bar stuff, bilstein struts, belltech drop spindles, and going to flip the ball joints. I have a 1 ton sway bar now and yes it's massive compared to the 1/2ton bar lol so the front should handle pretty good when it's done.

Back: pulled middle leaf, energy bushings all around, bilstein shocks, 3" blocks. Might go with 4" angled blocks later, but for now I will use what I have.

Hopefully the motor parts will start being ordered next month as I start saving more $$ for all the parts/pieces. Wasn't planning on rebuilding the front yet, but the connecting joints are beat to **** and that's just looking at them.

Want to find a sway bar for the rear *not addco* that doesn't have clearance issues.... I know truck action told me a main market one once, but I can't find the info!

Anyways after all this crap if the truck doesn't handle like I want it too I'm going to be pissed! I want to take major curves fast... "I go fast!" lol.

Where in the world are you looking at Moog stuff for $400???

    Try out Rock Auto.

    what are you suspension plans?

plan it out before you buy, so that way you know it'll bolt to your other components. I plan to use Mk3 supra spindles sometime, so i just hope that i can use my moog tie rod ends with it.

just to make sure you don't go "aw ****, i didnt know that didn't fit".

Don't forget tires. You can't throw 205's on the truck and expect it to drive like a similar truck with wider tires. (of course, let's say both have relatively sticky compounds).

I think you did mention them and I missed it lol! Thanks for the link euro you rock dude.

Yeah delrin makes moog prices look cheap, but at rock auto my parts list is 400ish shipped and at the parts stores is was 800+ so yep sometimes it pays to shop around!

Think of going with kyb gas-a-just so I can get everything in one place. Anyways here is the cart and I think everything I need is there.

    RockAuto Parts Catalog
Click on shopping cart to look it over. Only thing not on there is the steering damper and that's because I'm not sure which it is.
