I remember posting that up on FB, someone had to say that the motor mounts are toast xD

    It's nice though.

I'm sure it'll be easy to get what you want. There's a few forums that have 1UZ's and Lex V8's, they'll help you greatly.

oil pan needs notched to clear the steering, sc400 stock exhaust manifolds are said to clear the truck frame. but all the stock manifolds are crap from a performance view. i built custom headers to fit my needs since space was tight with the rack and pinion. the 1uz is close in weight to the 22r so it doesn't destroy the weight balance of the truck, nor do you have to hack the hell out of your core support like if you run a jz motor.

here is my build thread. it's focused more on the bags and chassis but there are lots of pics of mounts, plumbing, wiring etc.

for what it's worth the lexus swap pulls 1000 times the attention that a sbc swap would pull. i get compliments at every show about keeping it a toyota heart.

ok so i have access to either a 97 1uz vvti (complete) or a 92 1uz (missing the lower intake & misc. sensors). so my question now is which would be better for nitrous?
or in another possible option could i use the crank and rods out of the 92 1uz and retain the vvti?
