Look on Cl or mautofied for a bag kit. Got mine with everything from a Guy on mautofied.com. I like ordering from Avs but there's a lot of good places for bag ****. Ill drop a few places. Gravity-werx.com store.gaugemagazine.com avsontheweb.com there's so many if you shop around you can get a place with cheap prices

 

Yeah I am not to worried about cheaper prices. just looking for a fair price with quality products and service. Any specific brands you would suggest?

 

It's a shame your so far away. you say you found a good Fabricator, can he hand make your Bag brackets? I bought My Baggs and Valves from Airbagit.com they have a good return policy. and if for some reason they get your order wrong they will stand good for it. They Have sales Buy 2 get 2 free. you can order rear brackets (Standard accross the board but front brackets are the kicker they are eaiser hand made (IMO)

As for a List of stuff have you thpought about how to do your Rear?
Wit leafes?
4 link?
3 link and a Pan hard?
3 link with a wishbone?
2 link with a pan hard and a whats" link?

Do you want to relocate your Fuel tank? Buy a fuel cell

Not all companys are the same, kits are cheeper but you loose in certin things by buying a kit.

Oh wow all that info was very helpful. I want a slower movement when filling the bags. Would I want to go with 3/8ths valves? I am not sure what type of link setup is the best and what he knows how to do but I would think a 4 link would be the best.

What is the pan hard and wishbone on the link setup?

 

No matter if it's on a 4x4 or a full size or a mini the basic concept is the same

A watts link serves the basic same pourpose to keep the axle from moving side to side Different Fabricators/builders have different Opinions.

I will show all this to the guy that is going to do the work and see what he thinks. I havent seen any of his work first hand but he is a redneck that is a welder fabricator so i am sure he will do a good job.

 

Go with a 4 link or a 3 link tht way you don't have to have a panhard bar or Watts link. For bags get slam specialties. Firestone an contitech are spongey IMO. For valves I like gc xtreme but asco smc an Parker are good brands. If you have the money get the accuair valve block its great quality an slower like you want. A bag on bar 4 link will ride the best an have great lift. Front brackets are super simple if you or the Fabricator can make them you could save some $$ tht way

 

I am stoked about bagging this. I wish the house would sale now so I can get started.

 

I have not done a lot to the truck lately because of the weather and the house. I did spend all my savings to buy a new house but I am still working toward the idea. Recently I have purchased a new intake to start removing the emissions crap and to cut out the wheel wells.



I have purchased the EGR block offs from LCE but it has been way to cold to work on the truck. It is now spring time and that means it is time for me to work on the truck.

It did get above 30 degrees so it was time to take a couple pictures. My buddy has a Trans Am he loves and we went out together. He also has a mini truck but it is not driving right now.

 

Ha... found my twin... wanna see what your truck will look like bagged.... look at mine.... funny we both have Lexus emblems hahaha

Do a reverse 4 link then you don't have to move nothing and get best of both worlds

 

Yeah I plan on a reverse 4 link. I like the idea keeping the fuel tank location. I dont plan on doing a body drop but you never know that could change.

Thanks! I am trying to get it bagged as soon as possible. Looking for a good place to purchase airbags and components as well as a link kit. I am hoping to start this weekend.

 

Well i am starting to bag the truck! It is about time right? I am about to order the air management right now and found a buddy that will help with the fabrication. These are the parts i am planning on getting:
2 viair 444 compressors
8 3/8 Danz valves
5 gallon tank
AVS 3 rocker switch
4 SS-6 bags
200 psi pressure switch
and air lines and connectors

Does anyone have suggestions or changes i should make?

 

put in the biggest bag you can fit in. The bigger you have, the less air pressure you need to lift.

If you can, stay away from PTC (push to connect) fittings and stick to compression type fittings. You'll be chasing air leaks all day if you don't.

Finally, for the rear, have your rearend setup bag on bars. Bag over axle will have your max ride height with max air pressure which means, all air up=rough ride.
