I need some opinions from the bagged guys on this. Who's daily driving their bagged trucks and what valves are y'all running? I have 3/8" Smc fill and 1/4" Rockstar dumps and I not having very good luck with any of them. Everything was installed new less than a year ago and either they wont open, or hang open. I was told to clean them, and did, but it didn't help. Nothing says "OH S#$T" like a front dump valve hanging open on the highway and framerail dragging pavement whilst the fill valve on the same corner wont air it back up. I've heard GC is a really good valve. Any suggestions?

I've had GC 450s on 3 different vehicles and I loved them. I never once had a problem with them.

I had GC valves on my last bagged truck and they'd stick every now and then. I've heard good and bad from every brand of valves though. Except the AccuAir valve block manifold, I haven't heard any complaints. Thats what I'll be running on my project.

I had GC Xtreme 250s on all 4 corners, but the rear up valve on 1 side would stick no matter what I did. Now running smc 3/8 in the rear and still have the 1/2 GC's up front which gives me no problems.

Ive had 3/8 SMCs for 5 years, Daily drove it 3 years 90 miles a day. Never had one issue. Truck sat for a year. Pulled em apart cleaned em, And still working perfect to this day. I now have 1/2 Parker in the back (single lift, single dump) Had GCs in the past too without issues.

I've been using the 1/2" Danz valves on my daily. Over two years now, and no hangups except for ice in the line, but that wasn't the valve's fault....

    Got them from Cando...

Ive had parker smc and gc the smc's Ive had the worst problem with leaks and sticking. However I never had a drain valve on my tank when running smc's so they were never cleaned because the moisture and dirt was never cleaned out of my air tank. With new air tank with drain valve and filtered water traps ive not a problem since. I think sink the valves are so small with these the smallest amount of dirt or moisture messes them up and you end up having to run a bit of oil through or pull the diaphram and clean them every now and then. Sometimes I think its just a maintnence issue not necessarily one being better.

Thanks for the input guys. And euro I think your right. I do live in west tx and dirt is an issue. I usually drain my tank at least twice a week and usually get just water. The last time i cleaned the valves there was little to no dirt in them which led me to believe they were failing. I think the Gc's will be the ones I go with.

i have the smc's on my 86 and they keep getting worse, but then like it has been said, i have no drain on my tank, i live in the sticks, and i daily drive my truck... on the flip side i just bought all parker fittings and valves for my 91... guess i'll see which i like better.
