My problem is i bought an '87 22re that was converted to carb. but the carb is gone, so is there any thing i can get from the junk yard that would work just so i can start the motor and see how it runs before i spend for a new weber?

 

stock carb. everything on mine is disconnected except brake booster, vacuum advance, and fuel cut solonoid and it runs great.

not sure if the intake manifold is 22re or 22r

 

the 22re is the fuel injected version of the 22r. if it takes a carb it's a 22r. you just need to find a carb that goes to a 22r and it should work.

Yes it will work but you will also need the black peice that goes in between the intake and the carb
