first toyota NEED HELP!!!

    87 truck slammed and no front bars,...the front shocks broke...got new shocks what should i do to drive it with out breaking these shocks?

    Do you mean the strut bars??
    They would not be there if after market lower a-arm or modified stock one ( added brace) is in use!! :cool:

    not sure what it has,... i do know the shocks are bottomed out that cant be right...i'll try to get some photos of what i got...

    How slammed? Static, bagged or juice? Static I would say get lowered shocks, I can only think of toxic shocks right now. Bagged or juiced, I would think you need lowered shocks plus relocate your shock mounts.

    those are torsion bars, crank those ****ers tight and it should raise it up,make sure you have it jacked up though on the frame, and do equal tightening or its gonna sit sideways and not go straight, sounds like ya bought it from a guy that does hack job work.

    84-88 model torsions will work for sure. i'm not sure if 79-83 or 89-95 will work.

    the added brace he's talking about is basically a bar with bushing welded into the stock lower to make them an a-arm. you usually don't see that unless the truck is bagged.

    does anyone know if the 1987 has a sway bar in front?
