I'm trying to find the trans fill plug on a 93. Looked up and down on the net and couldn't find a good answer. I've good a leak looks to be from rear output seal and want to throw some fluid in there just in case... A pic would help!!! Thanks!!

I have a 93 SR5 V6 automatic and just recently did a transmission flush. The only way to fill the transmission for me was through the same place you check with the dipstick. Take the dipstick out, get a funnel that fits, and fill. That's all I can tell you, hope it helps. Only add a little bit at a time, if you overfill, it could be detrimental to your transmission. Also, better to do it when it's hot.

If its a manual trans there is a plug with a square head in it that you take out and fill untill it come out of that hole with gear oil. As far as auto goes im sure you can find it easily on the internet.

Unscrew the 4 screws holding down the boot, slide that up and where there shifter comes out is metal cap thing thats holds it down.this needs to be pushed down and then turned counter clockwise abouy 45 degrees and then you can pull the shifter right out.I'll post a pic of this so you get a better idea.

[IMG]This is the piece that holds the shifter in. I use a big flathead to push down and turn it from the top.

You still need to pull the plug out so you dont overfill it.It's easier to just get a hose with your gear oil from the auto parts store and fill in through the plug. Faster than pulling shifer off. Its 1 bolt.

It's up to you partner. I know already where the hole is so I just eyeball it.
