If they fit the spring perch right and you don't drive like an ass they will live forever. The problem is they are usually hollow and too long so the short Toyota perch wears the sides down so driving aggressively makes them die.
My fault I should have been more helpful.. Look go on streetacos.com and you can get all your lowering parts and great prices. Ive been going to him for years and his parts are too good to be true. Yes they crack easily and you need strong blocks to withstand all kinds of troubles with roads being so crappy..
Yea I did look and it makes me want to make my own. I dont drive like an A-hole so that shouldnt be a problem. After I get them and think they will be an issue I will take the dimensions off them and fab some of my own up at work. Now for shocks. I have to get new ones because my current shocks are toast. I was looking into getting the "lowering shocks" but my buddy told me I can just get factory shocks from an 80's Corolla as they are the same length as the lowering shocks. Is there any truth to that?
Well my rear blocks came in today. Super fast shipping so im happy! All I need now is front spindles. Believe I will be ordering those on Tuesday so I will be lowering my first truck hopefully in a week or so!
just purchased some lowering blocks for my 93, the universal types, and they don't fit! i remember a member here selling custom made one? can anyone point me in the right direction? the rivet on the leaf spring plate was too big to fit into the lowering block....fml
Yea I got it installed. LOve it! Took me about two hours of not knowing what to do. Turned out amazing
