hello again guys n girls.. i decided to open this thread here because im doing a bit of work to my ute and i supose if im going to upload pics it should be done in the right place.
so i have bought a ute a few months ago and so far ive bought a bullbar, painted it with killrust, and welded some brackets on ect.. today i have sanded the intire tray down with my orbital sander and cleaning the tray up a bit, i also bought last week 10 litres of oil for it, me and my mate was using it to cart some fridges and stuff, and before we took off i checked the oil and it was down to half way so i topped it up, i will do a proper oil change on it as the oil in it is black as the ace of spades, other then that it runs perfect even when running on half the oil it should have in it lol, the window sprayer must be blocked i can hear the motor going when pressing the button but no water comes out so i recon the lines are blocked so ill fix that aswell, also ive been trying to fix some rust spots but i think the front window will have to come out to do it, there is also a small rust hole in the passengers side floor up the front , and a hole under the battery tray, so there is a few things to fix, i just got it registered for another year so its well worth fixing up as its soo handy.

over the last week or so ive gathered up some second hand parts for repair of the bonnet ect../ i got my self a good second bonnet with good hinges, original steering wheel, and a okish front left hand guard to replace the dented one that was on my ute, also got a left hand headlight shroud with the indicator in it, original seatbelts that actually work..:D, and a few other bits, i also worked out which wires i can use to hook up some radio equiptment, so i hooked up one of my radios and mounted it and also added a switch to chop the power off, i have also been doing some rust proofing around the chasis and other parts. hope you like my work so far anyone that is interested in reading my junk lol.

ahh thats just the air pipe that goes to the air breather/filter thing for the diesel engine it has, yours wont have one if its a petrol engine, if it was a 4x4 hilux you can stick a snorkel onto that same pipe there :)

@ Ahshiet - I have that fender badge. It's still in the Toyota box too. I have the Hilux badges that are specific to my 1982 model. In fact, my truck is sporting the Hilux fender badge from the 2009 model.

Getting back to the thread...good job on the LN40! Nice to see you are bringing it back to its former glory.

Yeah, I kept my "pocket" above the radio too. With the exception of my Kenwood tape deck with the volume & tuning knobs, my dash is all factory correct.
