Bought a digital clock at a junkyard got home and went to put it in and it will not fit. It cam out of a 89 4-runner. The screw hole is on wrong side and it is too thick. So wha year and model do i need to vet one out of. Mine is a base model but it is already pre wired for clock. The one i just bought has screw hole in middle on left hand side. Any ideas

 

I have a '94 and got the clock for it out of a '92 4runner and it fits perfectly.

 

You need a clock from a 90-95 4runner or and 89-95 pickup. 89 4runner had a different dash setup.

 

Da Roach is right about the dash. There are so many different combinations to these trucks. Make sure you get the one that fits the surrounding center dash. But typically, '89-'92(June '92) go together, '93(July '92)-'95 goes together. Each year had some changes. Everything is interchangeable to some point but some things need to go together. Like there is a single din radio and a double din radio. Some of the surrounding pieces need to go with the single and likewise for the double din. My suggestion is look to see that its in the same time bracket and choose something closest to what you already have when you are looking for stuff in the future.
