just picked up my truck today and was making a list of things that needed to be fixed or changed and noticed that my metal seal that holds my windshield in place part of it was missing. my windshield is cracked so when i get it replaced i want to put new seal back on instead of the old broken on. anybody know where is a good place i can start looking for one or is that a toyota part only.

 

I had my windshield replaced and they just replaced the seal. you could call around to different glass places to see what the cost is. Here in AZ...glass coverage is included in the insurance.

 

I assume you are talking about the outside metal seal. Part of mine is missing so i might as well replace mine when i do my windshield.

 

Yes...it's the outside surround.
Mine was super faded chrome and black and warped abit. Now it's all nice and black and perfectly straight!!!!
