ok guys im wonder if an 1980 4x4 short box cab if it will fit my 1977 2x4 long box

im looking for a new cab

easy answer is no. they are different generation trucks, and they happen to be the gen difference where the frames completely changed.

you'll need a cab from a late 75-78 truck. 73-early 75 look the same but are about 2" shorter in the b pillar.

now for the hard answer. yes it will fit if you're willing to completely modify the frame and sheetmetal to make it work lol
