whats up everyone. new to toyota minis forums... I got a 93 pickup drop roughly on a 3/3 torsion front, belltech 3" blocks in the rear. I got some nitro 2 shocks. on some stock 14" steelies with some ballon 205/75/14 O_O. Anyway back to my question... Ive seen so many other pickups WAY WAY WAY more slam then mines. I've tried the whole pulled middle leaf in the rear and it just caused the load of driveshaft rubbing on the crossmember EVEN with nitro 2 shocks, so I but the leaf back in for now and back to 3/3.... Please help me wanna get lower ASAP......... much mahalos p.s. once i can snap a pic i'll throw it up and possibly start a build thread
Cheap, easy and a sh.tty ride- take out the torsions pull leafs add blocks Turn down the torsions, pull a leaf, add a block- safer than /\/\ plus a better ride If u got the $$ then drop arms, spindles, drop leafs, blocks+notch
All of the above is correct but in order to go lower you will need to C notch the back and the crossmember.
right now im lowered around 4/4 or so.... all iDid was loosen torions n bj flip in front and for the rear iGot 3" blocks n put my overload on top.... im also running 195/50R15 tires which give me a lil more drop... oh yea and iGot no bump stops
Ask tyme fo play. He got the lowest static 84-88 style I seen. But other then that just remove ur bumpstops I think thats whats restricting youin your sitiation.
brah get rid of the 75 series tire and replace the bump stop wid slippa, torsion it as low as you want and get rid of middle leaf.
whatchu mean by put the overload ontop? I kinda lost, but I seen pics of your truck and its on point...
Not Available - I took out the bumpstops already been running um no more for awhile now Ezikiel37 - Rajah on the 75 series tires i hear you... getting some 18s pretty soon but for now i like try go more low i went pull the leaf before and had CHOKE driveshaft rubbing and stuff... was sketchy after awhile... idk any shop on oahu who notch... its my daily so hard little bit 808yotskies - rajah dat.....
Ride um dirty. My buddy's 88 was about 1 1/2 inches off the ground. Torsion all the way/cut front fenders/ drop arms/notch/4or5" block/mono leaf. Completely buried. Past slammed. He had to bring it up about half inch though cause he kept hitting the road reflectors.
As we hawaii boiz call it "reflect-ah collect-ah". Haha you know ur sh*t's low when u know where all the pot holes and dip and speed bumps are before u get there
Choke driveshaft? whacha meen brah. im crank torsion, bj flip, fender well hammered up front wid stock shocks and 3" block, middle pulled wid gabriel airshock. and 50series on. no worries cuz..something wrong. shoot dont know what to tell ya
I'm guessing my driveshaft rubbing against the crossmember when i pull the middle leaf has alot to do wit 75 series tires and no notch... i need to find a shop or someone on oahu who notch frame. Byronics... i might try that... does it have any side effects?
iThink the only disadvantage to having the overload on top is when you load up heavy stuff... but other than that the ride feels pretty good to me and it gives you around 1/2" - 3/4" of a drop... iNever really measured but in a game of inches, every lil bit counts haha
