Wanting to buy msd ignition for my truck. I was looking into a 6al ignition box and a coil. Does anyone know what box is best for our 4cylinders, and what coil to use with what box?

Do you have to get different wire from the coil to the distributor or will the stock wire fit ?

I was running the msd offroad box with a blaster 3 coil and wires. Felt wayyy better than stock, until the msd box crapped out about 1 year later...

I was running an msd6al with a blaster ss coil till the 6al took a shiat and I replaced it with a module out of a GM hei distributor. The truck has never ran better.

When I talked with LC's tech man about MSD ignitions ,I was told they saw problems with it on the dyno only on the 22re engines. He only recommended the Crane unit & coil pack, as they had no problems show up with it!
I been running it for 4 years with no problems!

I attempted to run a MSD Blaster coil and wires with stock ignitor. It FRIED the ignitor in about a week. Lucky for me I had a parts truck cause it was like $400 new. So I ended up running stock ignitor with plug cut off, Stock coil to MSD wires

Not to start any comparison between MSD or Crane .but I have ran a 6a-l box blaster coil msd wires for about four years no problems from any of them I use the soft touch rev limit. Like crack on short auto x courses . As with any electric device life is limited I expect mine to fail after this post ha

I'm running an MSD 6A since 1994 and never had any problems. I still have my factory coil & ignitor.

The Crane system can run with or without your stock ignitor / coil. Like TRUCK ACTION, I run the Crane system with LX2 Coil and eliminated the stock ignitor / coil. I have had it installed for about 6 years and no problems.
