it'll have to wait till morning for me to get a decent shot....... its too dark at the moment.

the rear sway bar made a HUGE difference in the way it handled but now it over powers the front so i gotta upgrade the front one to a 1ton bar...... (came in the 1 tons and duallie trucks)

the 4 runner bar from what i mocked up will fit* onto the truck given you get some sway bar attachment brackets to mount on the axle and frame. i was gonna hit up a fab shop for some spring perches, the upper tabs for the axle side of the brackets came off the 4runner so all you would need to do is match it up with the spring perch mounts and drill matching holes. as for the frame you would just need to make a "L" bracket to mount up the links to the frame. fairly easy i would think........ might be doing this to Mac's truck once we get a chance. if we do ill make sure to document it.

the 4Runner bar cost me $20 bux at a yard when i was researching this mod so its fairly cheap mod if you got the fab skills and capability. :waytogo:

hate to necro, but the sway bar goes in only one way right? I just installed mine and am having rubbing issues on the driver's side leaf spring perch. Was the passenger side of your hellwig bar slightly bent differently?

@ 86extTURBO I just followed the instructions that came with the bar. The hellwig bar was very easy to install. It looks loose because i did not torque everything down yet.

Any links to sites that sells the rear sway bar/links for an 88 pickup? Anyone sell a bigger front bar that's direct bolt?

Edit: From looking it seems the Addco rear sway bar is cheaper... Anyone have any thoughts/opinions between Addco and hellwig?

Hellwig & Adco are sway bar companies that have been around for a long time.
I went with a Quickor bars ,,as they were made from chrome -molly spring steel, cad plated & for handling more than towing!
They also mount very tight to the frame.

Front bar before bagged, have to modify & make tabs on the tabular a-arms, & than get the bar remade.
