Truck is looking good man. Are you going to go any lower? Also are you going to leave the rims like that or powder coat them a different color?

You and me both cuz. Waiting on my injectors to come in now.

I may go a little lower. Idk yet. My oil pan is prrrretty close to the ground. And i'll probably leave them satin nickle like they are.

I like the way it sits now, and the tires are pretty sweet.

With the gun shifter, I've had people ask me to build shifters out of guns and knives in the past and turned it down. Seemed like too much of a liability to me, since I have a business. But I did a little research into it. If you pull out the trigger and firing mechanism, you have a better chance of getting off with a warning. My neighbor is a cop and I asked him about it. He said if he where in the situation of pulling someone over like that, they should know ahead of time what his response could potentially be. His safety is at risk. So he said the best bet for the driver, would be to put both of your hands out the window so they are visible as he walks up, and verbally warn him what is in the vehicle in a calm manner. He also said not to use the word gun right away. He suggested something like "Officer, I need to warn you I have a shifter that looks like a weapon, but it is permanently fixed to my vehicle and not dangerous to anyone."

So take that for what its worth. I pretty much wouldn't do it myself, since I seem to have bad luck with cops askign me to step out of the vehicle anyways.

Yea i'm happy with the way she sits for now. I'll probably get bored with it at some point and go lower... who know.

And thanks for that. That's essentially what I had in mind if I get pulled over. Just get it out there in the open right off the bat. And I can't really get in trouble for it after the fact since it isn't concealed. It may not stay in the truck long anyways seeing as it's kinda heavy.

Lighten if up. If you pull the trigger and hammer, maybe gut the back side of the handle and some internals you can't see it might not be too bad. Too heavy and it will probably fall out of gear.

But ya, he basically said hands out the window is a good idea, so they see your hands are no where near it. And basically do not touch it at all while they are around. I had a grenade shifter on a bike once, they freaked out about that, with no pin or anything.

    Cool lil Ride.
When I re-paint my 88 I wonder how those stock stripes would look on it ? I have always liked the 79-83's bodies and graphics.

Nice bro! Damn, that turbo sits kind of high?! Is it in the way of the hood? I love the 2rz motor and it can take quite a beating. Pushing nearly 16*,*** miles on my completely stock block it's still keeping up and doesn't show any signs of letting up any time soon. I kind of want it to so I can put the rest of my goodies in!!! hehe

Keep up the good work and I can't wait for this project to be finished!:waytogo:

Yea it's way too high. I'm having a bottom mount built for it now. I've slowed down even more with the build saving up for megasquirt and all that good stuff lol
