well yesterday i threw on my hid lights on to my 88 toyota pickup i had to get my H4 headlamps today.....h4 hid lights (the ones i got were 10k) the blue ass ones... i went driving around all around my city and i went through 4 check points and never told me about my hid lights...i found out that u can get pulled over for 12k which is purple already but with 10k and down is good.....i will prefer you to get the 8k ones though because with my 10k they are really bright and blue...ill post up pics of my lights later tonight once it gets darker

 

6000K and 5000K are better. Whiter brighter light. U can get pulled over for 10000K too. Pretty much any HID in a non HID projector housing will draw the popos attention and u could potentially be getn a ticket

 

well if you really think about it any hid lights will get you pulled over....10k are just really blue and i was running 8k for about 2 yrs and never got pulled over....if you really think about it well here were i live theres a lot of people that are running hid lights....and for us here its only a fix a ticket if we do get anything...

 

^^^yep same here. Practically every other car has HIDs. Cops dont say sh!t bout it

 

Where did you get your HID conversion hit? I already got the h4 housings.

 

Not true I retrofitted projectors in mine, on coming traffic sees purple blue flicker that does not blind them. my bulbs are 5k so I see all white. I get the best of both worlds, color at different angles and non blinding pure white light

here is a pic of what you see, this goes for cars with OEM Hid projectors. You know you see them coming, light goes from purple to blue to white, this is what your seeing depending on the angle and height your at

camera didn't pick it up but purple is right above the blue cutoff

 

sometimes cops will flash their lights at me but ive never been pulled over for it in 4 years. with 55w 8000k
