This is a 90 toyota. The tire is hitting this brake booster and I would like to go lower. Any thoughts. The wheels are 17" with 40 series tires.
how wide are those rims? you could try running a 35 series tire to get a smidge more, but the best option would be to swap boosters. Also though you seem to be really hitting, are those front tires pretty wide/werid offset?
brake booster I want to go with the stock rims. If anyone wants to trade--- these are brand new tires. what other booster can I install?
With just a small amount of fab skill..really any booster can be made to work... I know older domestics had a tendency to build there boosters with a smaller diameter but stuck off the firewall more. Might look into that
The booster from an early 80's thru 88 (non v6 and non 1 ton) have a smaller booster. You can try that
I have stock rims. 5 of them ill sell dirt cheap... They need tires though. Looks like your wheels are weird offset. I'm bagged on 225 40 18s I think and dont come close to the booster at all.
