I have a 1980 federal pickup with a 20r. My understanding was that the federal trucks did not have a converter, but the cali trucks did. Is this right or did they all come with a cat?

 

Just look under it!!

 

Depends on where you're at, but the tag under the hood should say Non-Catalyst. I have an '80 Federal truck and mine says that, and never had a cat.

 

thanks I dont have a cat but was wondering if it came with one. I will check the sticker.
