    FNG here,

I live in a "Free" state and would like to remove the Air Suction system on my non California 93 22RE. LCE claims that it will trigger a CEL?
    Anyone have any info?
    I hate this Emissions crap..

    I have a modified 22RE..,Headers,Cold air intake,Cam,porting,larger TB,no catalytic conv...Blah,Blah,Blah.

    Thanks,
    Stan

EGR system? I left mine intact but just disconnected the tube, placed some cloth over the EGR valve thing, and plugged the open hole in the intake side

BUT, it raises EGT's and loses mpg.... I'd keep it in there (knowing me). LCE sells that block off kit. CEL or not, if it's just tell you the EGR is not working, pull the fuse and reset the ECU. simple fix..

    Thanks for the reply,
I plan on removing the EGR system also., don't like exhaust gases going back into the intake mixture...call me old school...I'm a 70s hotrodder.

The system I'm talking about is the Air Suction system or air injection system. It introduces extra air into the exhaust system to reduce CO&HC.
I'm looking to clean up the engine bay..don't want all the extra hoses/pipes and crap on top of the valve cover. How many MPGs will I lose?

If you dont want to remove it all, You can tuck alot of it down under the intake. Thats how mine is now, But soon enough trucks getting a motor swap and wire tuck :)
