Ok I know i'm new to this forum but i decided lately that i really want to start posting. I have just replaced my water pump in my 73 toyota, now this isn't really have anything to do with this truck specifically, i popped the water pump off and found the bolts and nuts have some white residue what would be the best way to clean all of this off?
pics for sure would be great but if its like powdery substance that almost breaks the powder if you sort of rub your fingers across it you would use a bench grinder with a wire wheel attached to it. Good Luck
Thats what it is a powder and before i reassemble ill probably just use a wire brush and air gun, i was posting on here to see if there was a formula to neutralize the powder and really get that area clean. thanks for the tip. ill post pictures later.
Distilled water. Tap water is bad. Does thou want engine to tear itself apart? I run Toyota red coolant.
hey guys i just ended up using air and a brush and got the best i could, got it back together and i runs great now onto other projects. I should really post a post about it, i just recently got it.
