302 motor swap

    I've got a 92 toyota truck and I'm swaping in a 302 I bought motor mounts from advance adapters and the don't fit right don't know if anybody has had the same problem but need some help it is a 2wd truck if that's any help also I know nwor mounts are diffrent and prob work better but don't want to waste the money I paid for these any help would be great

    You should talk to the people who you got the mounts from. Maybe they are in correct for your application.

    I do know NWOR never intended their sbf motor mounts to go into a 2wd chassis. 4wd yea, but not 2WD.

    They were curious to see how they would fit. :shrug:

    they didnt fit the motor? they didnt fit the frame? or they didnt line up the motor correctly to slip into place?

    The fit on stock toyota pads but with the stock rubber mounts it doesn't seem like there's room I'm gona put trans in and get it all lined up but from what I can see with just motor in I can put one mount in solid and the other side in with stock ford mount the way its supposed to be. Also is there a diffrence in frame rail width on 4wd and 2wd I was told there the same so the mounts should work

    frame is the same ... different bits bolted under the frame.

    That's good there the same then why don't they fit if there made for a 4wd the only thing would be maybe set motort higher to clear dif but on my 2wd it clears on bottom if anybody has any suggestions let me know thinking bout making own mounts so if any one has plans or measurment it woiuld be greatly appreciated

    Anybody else have mounts that worked that I could refrence mine off of I'm getting no more response need help with it please
