anybody know how to do it properly? i bought one from precission grills and those guys were clueless and didnt have directions. i figured out to recess the headlights i had to cut the buckets so the lights would sit deep in. this grill has 2 L brackets on the top and bottom..... they dont line up with any holes..

I had a Trenz one..with that one all you had to do was remove the spacers on the headlight bucket so the headlight would sit in more..I also had to bend the mounting tabs a little to make contact with truck, but thats it..it doesnt line up with any holes..you have to drill your own or use selftaping screws

i was thinking just to drill holes and mount it up....would b hard to mount the bottom bolts....i thought of just tack welding it on, but then i wont b able to access my headlights, and i need to do that. just wondering if anyone has installed this one. if the tabs go on the inside of the rail or the outside...to me it looks like it needs to mount to the inside of the rail to properly line up with the hood.

for anyone thats going to do this.... its pretty basic

pull off your old grill shell.....toss in trash...lol

take your headlights off and cut down the buckets half way

re-install headlights....check allignment before installing grill

take grill.....drill holes in the centers of the 4 l-brackets

take grill to truck and align to where you want to bolt it down.

do the top ones first, i used wood shims on the bottom of the grill to align it at the right hieght. take a small drill bit and make a pre hole in where you are going to use sheet metal screws to bolt it in. put sheet metal screws in.

to do the bottom ones, you must remove the bumper....i found this the fastest by just removing the 4 bumper bracket bolts from the frame.

then install the bottom ones the same way you did the top, then reinstall bumper...

also if you run corner lights, u will have to do some slight trimming on the backside of them for them to sit flush on grill.
