    hay guys, love the trucks!

i want to get a truck that i can work on my self and is good on gas, so i already know i want a toy...what i really want is a '76 or older longbed SR5, for work and transport

...i found one for 1200 on craigslist...it runs and was drivin daliy until 2 weeks ago when he bought a miata...what should i look for? he said it has had reacent engine work and that "it does use(burn?) oil"

what would be to many miles for 1200 to be resonable? its got new tires and he said he would meet me at the bike shop i work at (20miles from where he lives) to show it off.

yous guys prob wont get to this post that soon but i still want to hear y'all opinions 75 toyota pick up for sale

Well to find parts for are acutally not that easy i heard for those years. But to work on it doesnt get any easyier, plus if you have any problems there is good knowledgable people that can walk you through anything. The price to me i think is a good price. Even if you can tell him youll give him 1000 cash right now. But its totally up to you on what style truck you like and really want and will be happy with.

Yah the older ones are more difficult to find parts for readily you actually have to search for them. If you got a mid 80's to mid 90's 20r or 22r/ re then parts are over abundant like honda stuff. They are still very easy to work on but not as easy as the 70's which are like working on a 350. $1200 for a running driving rig that looks semi decent isnt a bad price. If you could spend like $2000 I bet you could find up to a 94 truck in decent shape bone stock.

1993 Toyota Pickup heres another one. its a 93 and has 100k on it what do you think?
i went to look at it and its purple...it has some body damage and i caught water and oil out the tail pipe...could be a warped head...also heard a knock(not bad)
but over all it ran smooth even at 70... didnt pull or shake...and was pretty quiet...what if he took 1800 for it?

Thats decent price if those are orig miles. Pull a carfax on it. Check oil for coolant as well. It will cost roughly $500 or more to rebuild depending on how bad or what said knock actually is. I paid $2 grand for my xcab and had to fully rebuild the engine but it blue booked at $2800 so I didnt feel too bad about it.

i just got the blue book on the 93, this guy WAY over shot the price...it says for exe. shape 1800...this was fair...which is 1150...i called him and told him this and he said" well im trying to get as much as i can for it"...good luck...ill give ya a G for it and have the head milled down... dam it i like the purple paint...and think that low mileage might be better than being able to work on it with ease

unless you can lowball him pretty good i'd take the good running truck over one that needs engine work. if it is really the correct milage, then it's due for a timing chain most likely.

plus the old school toys have more character!!
