What engine did your 69-72 / RN1* come with?

I'm in Australia, we only got the 12R in our first-generation Hilux. I'm putting an 18R in mine, and the sump and engine mounts & sump from the 18R I have don't suit.

I'm wondering if they were available with an 18R from factory in the USA or other countries? If so, then I could use the sump and engine brackets from a USA model to bolt it straight into mine.

All I need is confirmation that the parts will work, and someone nice enough to do an Aussie a favour :)

    Cheers

    ah well what a shame

hopefully someone else will have one or be able to find the parts for me

i can always get them custom-made but there's nothing neater & easier than factory parts!

they're similar in design, but apparently the mounts are different between the early generation and late generation 'R' motors.
