I do have a camera phone, lol. All I did with it today was unload it. I got back after dark last night, so I waited until this morning. I was dealing with another project leaving also, and working on this:

Once I am done with the intake, I am going parts hunting at pick n pull. Got drop spindles on their way, and need parts to convert to 84-95 brakes. I might convert to the whole clip, I hated how much camber my old truck had. I'll be building arms for it, 4-link, etc as I have time. I still have a lot going on in the shop, so I'm only working on it after hours.

Its for hood clearance on a doored truck, and honestly it will probably hurt performance.

I saw you started shaving the intake, I will go look again. Lol.

That will look cool. It already looks good. I had that header I did ceramic coated, and they tumble it to polish the coating. You can see a few areas it couldn't reach.

Got some used drop spindles today, and about a week ago I found this Weber carb. Needs a rebuild but has a cool Redline cast aluminum air filter cover.

Ya it is, thats mostly why I wanted it. I think I might powder coat it and sand the raised parts.

Most of those are parts books or manuals and stuff, but yes I do read a lot. And okay, I will try not to sell this one.

My used drop spindles showed up today. And I went to Pick-N-Pull and robbed an 89 pickup of its front clip and hubs.

just another one subscribing to this thread i watched FRANK being built. the workmanship that went into her puts most shops to shame. how is the shop goin?

Are you goin to swap lower control arms from a late model truck? or run early ones?

if your doin it with custom upper arms and late model lowers i would be keen on some custom upper arms to bring back my camber

good luck with the build i will be on this site all the time

I didn't get the control arms because I make my own control arm kit, and I will just run that. It didn't make sense to buy parts I won't use. I only needed the frame and idler arm. I have two steering boxes (power and manual), and a new center link. And I figure I should just replace the tie rods while I am in there.

    Thanks.

I haven't really touched the truck. The gas tank is out and there is no key, so I need to swap the column and hook the tank up first. May need some wiring work too. I'm going to focus on the suspension first, since I am pulling the motor out to clip it. Also want to identify the transmission, and possibly swap it for a later one I have in the shed, depending on which one is better.
