ShoNuff- The Seattle weather is making me ambitious. I noticed you have an older Celica and seemed to be well informed about Toyota's in general. I have an '81 Celica GT with an auto transmission that is going out and was thinking about converting it to a manual transmission. Do you happen to have any recommendations on a good replacement transmission? I have done a bit of research and understand that there are a few issues with the clutch pedal and lines during the conversion. I am just seeing how feasible acquiring the transmission would be. Any help is always appreciated. '83 Toyota Pickup 5 speed RWD '81 Toyota Celica Auto RWD
hello,,ShoNuff,,, Iv'e still got the 67 stout if your still interested. It's yours if you still want it
so I tried getting it started again the other day after a couple weeks off from working on it and the fuel pump still isn't turning on when I start the engine. I know the pump works, but I'm missing something here. I've exhausted my reference material and I can't find the answer on any forum. Do you have any time this week to stop by and maybe I can compare what's under your hood with mine? I can compensate you for it if you can do it, but it's not an emergency or anything because I obviously have another car to drive. Plus I'm leaving Seattle after this week for about ten days. You'd really be helping me out man, just wanna get this thing on the road!! -chet
So what part of Seattle you from? My wife wants to move back up there when she finishes school in 3 years.
