While in 30-40 mph truck just slow down.
If you hit on the gas the engine will just rev.
Pull over and engine is running fine even though truck can't move. Start fine also without using clutch pedal.
You can put it in gear and left go off clutch pedal and engine won't go off.

I thought it was the transmission went out but friend say need new clutch.

    Any suggestions?

ya if you cant stall when holding the brake and letting out the clutch then your clutch is wasted. I hope you didnt go into the rivits on the clutch material.

sounds like clutch to me also, if your rev your engine and the ratio is not transferred to the tranny/wheels, then your clutch is slipping horribly. Count on maybe having your flywheel resurfaced as well or going light weight while its out, may as well change rear main seal also when you buy a new clutch kit.

Rivets .. what holds the materials together. much like the brake pads (flywheel resurfacing vs turning rotors...)
