i guess i kinda have some space to drop. thats my stock height anyway. now if i had a job and money..... I'm shooting for a 2JZ swap, if not, i'll try to find a Datsun S30 to work on. for now, i have my truck =]

    22re
    205/70/R14's ( i cant remember if sidewall was a 75 series, i forgot)
    4 speed auto
EGR pipe to intake is blocked off
    Regular Maintanence...
    3" air intake mod
2" firewall air intake mod. if stock is okay, smoother is always better
RAM AIR INTAKE - myself of course

Here's a vid for you guys, kinda a few weeks before derusting and stuff.

    engine =] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SW5O445wUs

i was having a sniffly nose that time too XP

My name is Nam, I'm a sophomore in highschool, haven't gotten my restricted license yet(GRR!!!!). My mom uses the truck to drive to work as a daily driver, about 30-40miles a day if i remember. I'm unemployed (i need jobs!).

Basically other than that, about the Truck

We are the 2nd owner of this truck. Dad bought it back in '93(but its a 1994 pickup =D ), used. Not sure how many miles hte truck had, but wasn't alot. After 14 years of regular maintanence, i decided to take this truck to the next step. 15th year for this truck... so you know, SEAFOAM IT!!!!!!

cleaned out anything in the engine, if any at all. All of the stuff i do on this truck is solo, cept for one time my dad and I replaced the rotors and pads... in Winter, it was cold, but we got it done.

I've taken my intake manifold off this year, pulled it and cleaned it. Gawdamn there was so much yuck in there, but not as bad, because ive seen worse!

Pulled my Valve cover. clean, pretty clean, but it was fine with me. Timing Guide is perrrffeccttly good (for now)

Truck has been wrecked a few times by family members and such. i think 4 times, with 1 busted right door. all of it has been fixed. last wreck was fixed by my dad. I have to say aftermarket parts arent the best...

so i took it to the next level AGAIN.. hence you have me and my truck's facelift! Hacksaws, sanding tools, silver spray, and clearcoat. AMEN!

    (Possible) Future plans...
Find a Job - of course!!!
get the 2JZ swap in kit a member posted up!
find a 2jzblock and get a 1jz head for it.

or i might go 1JZ and drop in a 2JZ block some time. who knows.
I want to get RS-Watanabe wheels (or soemthing like that) that are wider than stock factory dimensions. I have about a 2-3 fender to wheel tire gap that makes me sick..
I want to run 265's in the rear if a supra swap comes by. mostlikely, 255's. 245's up front will be safe with me.

I'd like to take a 4wd fender swap also. would be sick.
I'm looking to find a Pre-86 Supra LSD thatll drop right in

im missing some stuff arent i? maybe drop teh front with spindles, then the leafs, then the wheels, then the JZ, then 4wd fenders

i might as well leave it stock looking, =D SLEEPER!!

    So i have big expectations!

Welcome to the site Nam. It'll be a long road ahead, but in the end it's worth it. I started with the same truck as you, only green.

After two years, I'm not even close to finished, but she's come a long way.

Can't wait to see your progress!

that is a sexy truck you got right there. btw how is it riding?
i'd love to take any opinions or advice you guys have right now. i want to do mods that can be done with the stock truck without sacrificing drivability.

until i get to drive my truck individually, i'll begin on larger projects once the income falls on me

I did drop spindles up front so the ride there didn't change until I installed the skyjacker torsions to firm it up a bit. In the rear, the drop leaves (instead of blocks) ride nice if there is a bit of load in the bed. Most of the time I don't carry anything back there though so it's just a tad rough. Overall though the truck handles and corners great.

If you have any questions, just ask.

have you done any performance modifications to your 22re?

as of now im satisfied with my truck being able to sling me to 40mph. (if you wonder why i want a supra swap, its a whole new story. i mean, who doesnt want to kill camaro's with a pickup? =] )

So im thinking is that motor a GE or GE VVT-i?? anyways, teh spare parts block and head will leave that up to me. spare block has teh pulleys too, kinda, and also has water pump too. I'm pretty tired soo i'll try to sum up what i know and what is available!

oh yeah! Ignition coils and Fuel stuff is on the VVT-i head so yay

    some things i did today...

I'll get a pic of my updated intake, i cut a hole on the bottom of airbox and through the wheel tub so i have a hole about 2inches wide that goes through airbox through the wheel well tub. I used some aluminum tape to go around the hole so that no engine bay exhaust heat finds its way in. I painted my emblem red too. other than that i also pulled my fenders and put them back on after cleaning out a lotta dirt in them too. no pics sorry!!! maybe next time guys.

just heads up about your blinker mod, if the cops see that they will probably pull you over and give you a nice sized ticket for impersonating an emergency vehicle.

yeah. i took the pic and first thing going through my mind was.. damn... i see more red than usual. I'm gunna probably do that later, have some spray cans laying around! i hate having to pull the bumper to pull the grille! drives me krazy!!

thats the shop that had the 2JZ motor. there are quite a bunch of civic motors lol. anyways, most 2J's are like $3000, he dropped this to like $400! there are some other Toyota V6's in there too, so you can probably find something like that! He's an old vietnamese guy that owns the shop too. lol i would love to have that shop and all those motors. next thing you know you'd probably see a tubular framed chassis with RR setup, but with two Civic motors to make up the lack of torque XD
