So i have an 89 pickup 2wd and im gettin ready to add a rear sway bar to it and i also wanted to upgrade the front sway bar I know about the bushings but what i was hhoping to do was either get a sway bar from a 4runner and put it on only if its a larger diameter and bolts up to the stock mounts or use the sway bar from a 1 ton pickup with the same requirements is this possible or just a dream??

I got bars from Quickor Engineering, think he still makes bars out of his house.
They bolt up to the stock mount holes ,but face rearward,& are way bigger & made of chrome-molly spring steel.
If performance is what your after ,these are what you need!

Yeah performance is my goal but i wasnt trying to do anything that had to be custom fabbed to work. I googled "Quickor Engineering" nothing really came up? if ya got a link thatll help! Soon imma go to the local picknpull on my next day off and probally measure the diameter of the 4runner sway bar and hopefully the 1 ton sway bar if i can find them  I just really want something that mounts stock.

I dont think the 4 runner one will work. They have completely different arm due to it being 4WD.

But since you have a 89 and if i remember correctly from reading some where that the later model pickups have a larger diameter. 94-95 maybe 93 cant remember clearly.

If you have the 19MM bar, (most stock base trucks) and bump it up to 24MM bar, you will like it. Its super cheap to do.

4Runner bars wont work. Front or rear.

Or you could spend the 200 bucks and just buy a new bar, or two.

I cant remember exactly. I think it was a 91ish truck. Didnt have a motor but I think it was a stock v6 2wd. Junkyard.

Im fairly certain all 79-95 front sway bars are interchangable. Just need to get the bushings with it. :waytogo:
