I've been looking at a few wheel / tire combos in here and really like the Porsche wheel look. I was wondering what wheel year / size / offset / hub diameter should I look at purchasing. They will be going on a 1980 short bed 2-wheel drive. I'm leaning towards a 15 inch rim. Found a full set of these (without tires) local for $300.00 is this a good price.

    I tried em.

They dont fit. The bolt pattern is too big.

that looks like a 944 turbo wheel to me...

    I coulda sworn 911, 912, 944s had 5x130.

I did take a set of wheels (just like first post cept 15s) off of a 914 at a JY and tried bolting em up to a yota. They werent even close.

These rims might be vw rims too. Porshe and vw is so intertwined in its culture together its sickening at times.

going by how high offset they look of a design, yet how far they stick out, my bet is that that truck has bolt pattern adapters. i think they can be as thin as 25-30mm.

The owner will chime in soon... As far as I know no adapters used, straight up bolt on... I wanna say these came off a 60's model porsche's...

That's what happens when you live on a rock in the middle of the pacific ocean... Gotta try different things to make things work... :waytogo:

"Yes" that is what I thought, but maybe different years have different bolt patterns.

Original Porsche wheels are 5x130 except the older ones which are 5x205 (also early vw style). There are a few companies making aftermarket "Fuchs" style wheels in different bolt patterns though. These wheels are very popular with the VW crowd, You can also get them in 17" now.

edit: oops, didn't realize that chart doesn't go that far back, seems to start around the 70's.... well good reference for more commonly found wheels i guess.

porsche, audi, & volkswagen are the same company

those are porsche wheels, not early wheels though, the bolt pattern is a "wide 5" pattern

This Welker fine, if you only have the front wheel hub, the hub re drilled.and re drilling and axels are pretty safe, I have a couple of frenz here, the Home Affairs Department has four holes Corolla Drill string out of the movement and the 5x114 in the wheel bolts.
