I am in the middle of swapping in a new rear axle and need to know what the pinion angle is on our trucks? Should I change it since I am running 3" drop leafs? Here are the two 8.8 rears I picked up in Philly for $300 the second rear was basically for the short side axle, once my long side is cut to fit the extra short axle I can have the spring perches mounted and I have a posi 3:73 disc brake 31 spline axle rear, 56.5 inches wide... 1/2 less than a stock rear axle! Axle tags L73 = 3:73 gears with posi the real reason ford built the exploder! cheap donor axles!! The taco got a little squished! heavy axles!! Now to find a V8!!!
not too likely to ford the motor... probably go 5.3 gen4 gm but Ill keep it in mind since i have considered the 5.0 or 5.4 since the distributor is up front and I kinda want to do a carb motor but chevys have that darn distrib in the back and it hits the toyota firewall ( and I am not spending $$$500 on a front belt drive distributor for a chevy) No actually I don't have an angle finder, and even if I did or go buy one the truck has no suspension in it right now so I can't get the pinion angle of the old rear laying in the back yard now can I? What are my chances of anyone actually knowing this answer??!!
No need to get all menstrual. It was just a question. Hmmm.......... im assuming youve searched and found nothing. Id go out to mine but i dnt have an angle finder either. haha. let me see if i can find anything edit: Ok so maybe just set it to 0?
