Hey Toyoheads, I'm looking to swap my 3.0L out of my Uhaul truck with a fresh low milage 22RE motor & tranny. Wiring harness is no prblem, I have harness from donor 22RE truck. What I'm after is info on aftermarket bolt-on engine mounts for this swap - if they exist?? The trannys are different, I know - so I might need those also?? I just would be ahead of the game if someone out there has sucessfully done this swap and can tell me what the ran into as far as the engine mounts are concerned. Any/and or all info on the subject would be greatly appreciated. I'm taking the box off this project truck and putting a flatbed on as a replacement. Need some input on the motor mounts from an experienced builder or someone who has attempted this project. Thank you, Dave::: ::verdict_in::runaway:

Why are you going with the 22re over all the other choices that are available? (ex: jz engines, 1uz, v8 other 6 cyl, etc...) For a truck I would want to have a little bit more torque then the 22re. But if thats what you want then go for it.

if you go through the effort of pulling out the 3VZ-E, might as well put in the superior 5VZ-FE.

Otherwise, good luck with your project either way :) :waytogo:

That engine is actually a great choice and plenty available in parts and aftermarket. Not sure on what the price will set you as they are still a newer motor and still get used in the newer trucks if im not mistaken.
